Phasetec was founded by a team of engineers and operators with deep experience across the oil and gas value chain. We combine upstream operations expertise with cutting-edge data science to solve real problems facing gas plant operators today.

We are at the pre-seed stage, and are backed by Avatar Innovations, a venture capital focused on energy based in Calgary.

Marissa McKay

Co-Founder and CEO

Marissa leads Phasetec with almost 20 years of experience leading enterprise-wide strategic, operational, and innovation programs. She has worked in many facets of oil and gas, from operations management to finances. She is currently a Strategic Programs Manager in Operations & Innovation at Imperial Oil. Marissa is based in Calgary, AB.

Talisha Griesbach

Co-Founder and CTO

Talisha spearheads Phasetec's technology with research experience in applied machine learning at the University of British Columbia with a love for startups. She is a product development and rapid prototyping expert with strong industry experience including at Amazon's AWS and Google's X, the Moonshot Factory. Talisha is based in Vancouver, BC.

Will Hutchison

Advisor

Will brings over 12 years of oil and gas experience from field operations to reserves evaluations and data science to Phasetec. He is passionate about all things natural gas and condensate.
